| Golden Field Forestry Company, established on April 31, 2001 with RMB 50 million of registered capital, is mainly engaged in planting of Italian Poplar. Golden Field Forestry Company has input large number of labour force and capital to open up and improve about 10,000 mu of wasteland, barren mountains and river banks in Qiaolin Town, Shiqiao Town, Wujiang Town, and etc. The special personnel are assigned to all parts of the country to select brand tree species like Italian Poplar and others of high quality. Totally about 1 million trees have been planted. Over the years, the company has invested about RMB 80 million in Italian Poplar planting, and so far, the nursery stocks have become woods of trees. The planting of Italian Poplar has spurred the local rural economy forward to development. In 2005, the company was honored as an advanced group in constructing “Green Pukou”. |
